On Saturday, February 26, 2022, Darmaria Study Center held an interesting discussion about “Workplace Communication” which was given by Ms Edith Emeralda, a managing editor from Tatler Indonesia. The topic of discussion that afternoon certainly made the participants enthused, especially among young professionals and students who were preparing to enter the world of work. Ms. Edith explained that building good communication in the workplace can help someone to build networks, solve problems, make decisions, and be able to work in teams. In addition, Ms. Edith also explained that listening and understanding the other person is the key for someone to be successful in communicating, especially in the world of work. In listening we need to involve "RASA", namely Receive (receive information), Appreciate (appreciate what was conveyed), Summarize (summarize what has been conveyed), Ask (ask or give an appropriate response).
